Global Initiatives is thrilled to kick off the Fall 2020 Berklee Global Connections series. Our first guest will be a prominent guitarist, entrepreneur, and Berklee alumnus Roy Ziv who demonstrates new avenues of creative entrepreneurship in the current ecology of the music industry. Ziv is pursuing his own creative journey based on the ideas of musical resiliency and sustainability, which help him continually excel in his career during the pandemic. This session will be moderated by vice president of marketing for Positive Grid Laura B. Whitmore. Positive Grid is the globally acclaimed music technology company and maker of BIAS FX and Spark.

For a decade, the Global Music Institute (GMI) in India, founded by Berklee alumni, has been a leader in preparing exceptional students for their studies at Berklee and for their musical careers.

The GMI continues to be an important partner in Berklee’s global mission of harnessing the power of music to build a better world.

In this kick off session on 9/9, 9 am (EDT), representatives from Berklee and GMI leadership will highlight this partnership with a dialogue on avenues for furthering music education in a global context. Guest speakers will include GMI alumni who have transferred to Berklee and have found successful career pathways in the music industry, and GMI’s international faculty members who are also Berklee alumni will expand on the larger vision for global music education shared by both institutions.

Body Mapping is a process of developing a more accurate perception of one’s physical structure.
